The term “out of body experience” is used by researchers as a catch-all term. However, in some cases the experience is so common that medical professionals are hesitant to label it an ‘out-of-body’ phenomenon. While the word “out-of-body’ is often used as a catch-all term, there is no definitive definition of what constitutes an OBE. Rather, it is a collection of claims and theories about an individual’s perceptions.
Are OBEs real or fake>
It depends on the circumstances. In some cases, these experiences may occur without warning or last for a short period of time. Some people may have multiple OBEs in a lifetime.
According to some estimates, at least five percent of the population has had an OBE and some have occurred as a near death experience in a hospital or at an accident scene. . While the scientific definition of OBEs is not completely clear, experts have hunches. Some believe that the experience is a manifestation of the brain’s response to a stimulus.
While there are no scientifically confirmed instances of out of body experiences, they have been reported by many people. While there are some differences between secular and religious OBEs, it is important to note that astral projections are different from near-death experiences.
Regardless of your beliefs about spirituality, it is important to consult a healthcare provider if you suspect that you may be experiencing an OBE.
